RE: Rock Classics - edition #60 - Eagles

@steevc Always reminds me - thinking /talking about Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Dave and Jimmy about Stairway to Heaven - interestingly I first came across that by a cover of a band that was grouped together by know musicians led by German Frank (who invented Boney M) - he brang together cool guys (i bought that vinyl in 1985) from eg Toto, Barclay James Harvest as well. Probably no one knows them outside in Germany but I liked it:

The guys included internationally guys such as lead vocalist Robin McAuley, drummer Simon Phillips, ex-Saga drummer Curt Cress, and three members of Toto: vocalist Bobby Kimball, keyboardist David Paich, and guitarist Steve Lukather.

And I love Steve Lukather and David Paich!

Sort:

I remember that version, but don't know if I heard anything else by them.

na, that was just a project it seems - i was surprised Frank got cool guys from Toto these days - he probably just wanted to move away (or create alternative awareness in music scene) from the guy producing just "German Schlager" followed by disco sounds Boney M and Milli Vanilli.

I know about the German music scene as it was a few years back from when I lived there. I did go to some good gigs in Freiburg.
