We often expect instant results when it comes to playing a piece of music. Experience, knowledge, and technical skills take time. This piece may have been a challenge a few years ago. However, I took the time to rehearse it one afternoon, and repeat it about three times. There is a note figure known as a saltillo that consists of a dotted eighth note and a sixteenth note, which I practiced a lot as a child. So every time I see it, it is easy to recognize its form and dynamics. Progress is gradual, and each step represents a significant advance. Another aspect that is complex in this piece are the accidentals, which often appear as sharps and naturals surprisingly. The secret to success in many things in life is patience, but not a passive attitude, but rather resilient work.

Muchas veces esperamos resultados instantáneos cuando se trata de interpretar una pieza musical. La experiencia, el conocimiento y las habilidades técnicas requieren tiempo. Esta pieza quizás hace unos muchos años había sido un reto. Sin embargo, me tomo a ensayarla una tarde, y repetirla unas tres veces. Hay una figura de nota que se conoce como saltillo que consiste en una corchea con puntillo y una semicorchea, que practique mucho de niño. Así que cada vez que la veo, es fácil reconocer como es su forma, y dinámica. El progreso es gradual, y cada paso representa un avance significativo. Otro aspecto que representa complejo en esta pieza son las alteraciones accidentales, que suelen aparecer sostenidos y becuadros sorpresivamente. El secreto del éxito en muchas cosas de la vida es la paciencia, pero no una actitud pasiva, sino de trabajo resiliente.
