The moths, life after life, flies into the fire because the moth perceives the heat as something comforting.
It is scary how we are motivated by pleasure to lead to rebirth in samsara.
We have experienced pleasure in particular situations and we longed for it. This longing is what causes perpetual suffering into rebirth in the cyclic existence.
