Like you, I went to the river (beach) early(ish). Not that early but I was still one of the first in the water - before it was filled with people and their sun screen and oils (yeck!) and early enough to be able to find a place underneath one of the couple of dozen parasols.
I also picked some blackberries yesterday and have fond memories to picking them as a kid in The Netherlands and the South of France ( Summer holidays ). Pomegrenates need to wait 2 more months. Vigs are not ripe here, yet but the li'l tomatoes in my sister's veg garden are coloring fast. Plenty to pick tomorrow. I also got myself a courgette and two beets, earlier tonight, that I plan to eat this weekend.
