RE: PRUNING THE NOISE

in The MINIMALIST11 days ago

The more we start making space for things like that, the less space we have to accommodate the actual stuffs.

Very well said! This entire post is spot-on! The more attention we devote to needless, trite anxieties, the more they take over us. I don't know why it happens, but it's important to stay on top. It certainly sounds like you do a good job of that, though.

I really liked how you connected this to minimalism - I hadn't before thought of these intrusive thoughts as another form of needless excess, but will from now on. Thank you for that! :)

It happens if we are distracted from ourselves and the things around us and that happens most of the time if not all the time. We can only make adjustments because we are attentive to them.

It's just like having a putting a cup of coffee on the table and someone else just comes and keep something else on that table, whether we want to or not, we are compelled to look at what they kept there and if it is something that shouldn't be there, we quickly draw their attention to it or take our cup of coffee from the table.

The major thing is, know what is needed and what is not needed.

Thank you so much for your comment. I'm glad you learned something. 🤗
