Haha totally, you're just being smarter, it's like people who go to the gym in a car even though it's close by, wouldn't it be better to walk and add a little more cardio to your routine? I don't know, I don't understand so many things.
I love walking to run errands, although now that I read your comment I could really use a shopping cart.
walking and carrying or pushing/pulling groceries is cardio AND weights! lol
