Hey Peeps!
I left home with the idea that I might run a few blocks to see if my knees would hold up. After a few steps, I decided running was off-limits, so I carried on walking to the town as I needed to top up some personal items.
It was freaking hot. I mean roasting hot. I hurried to Greggs and picked up a cold bottle of freshly squeezed orange juice, and I guzzled it down and caught my breath. The regular cashier had a look on his face like he thought something was amiss, so I assured him that I'd just walked 35 minutes uphill and felt depleted from the heat.
Being a thrifty spender, I tend to have different shops that I pop by to get the best deals on whatever items I'm looking for, but on this day, I thought it was in my best interest to save myself running around town and check into the Savers Health Home and Beauty discount Store, as the name implies.
The deals and money-saving potential from Savers are impressive, as products cost £2.00-£3.00 less than what you get from regular supermarkets, and online.
My most pleasing discovery was this Hemp Toothpaste.
This product promotes everything that I like, and it would be a great replacement for the Forever Living Aloe Vera toothpaste which cost £7.00, that I like to use (I get a discount from my friend), as well as Dr Organic Aloe Vera from Holland and Barrett which costs £5.50.
They are expensive compared to regular toothpaste that you get at regular supermarkets, but these healthy ones are fluoride-free, here you can see the fluoride debate.
This Hemp toothpaste comes with a free toothbrush, contains natural hemp oil, and on the back of the box, it says it's formulated with Omega 3, 6, and 9 that's excellent to fight bad breath.

When looking at ingredients, it's advisable to see where the main ingredient falls (this I know for researching my hair products). If you examine what each contains, it would be fair to say that Dr Organic is the least desirable, and comparing the Forever Living Aloe Vera (toothpaste is green in colour) and the Hemp toothpaste (also green in colour), they both are gentle cleansing, fluoride-free, and highly formulated using natural ingredients.
I am very satisfied with this Hemp toothpaste; the taste and how clean my teeth feel after using, and the fresh breath confidence that I get from it, plus, it comes with a free toothbrush, which I'll keep for travelling since I use an electric toothbrush otherwise. And, the BEST part is that this Hemp toothpaste costs £1.00 ONLY!
Have you ever tried this brand of Hemp toothpaste or another? I know it's only toothpaste, but do you have any other healthy choices for toothpaste that you'd recommend?
I think it's nice for us, coffee-lovers, tea-lovers, and wine-lovers, especially, or anything else that might discolour teeth, to look after our hygiene in an economical and healthy way, in between our dental visits.
Thanks for stopping by peeps:)
Hemp toothpaste. That's interesting. Fluoride. I really hate that they put it in the water here in Canada. I put in a reverse osmosis system in our old house to get rid of it.
That sucks! There was much talk a few years ago that the UK govt would be adding fluoride to help fight tooth decay.
#unbelievable
I had a water filtration system attached to my kitchen sink in the Philippines, but I still ordered separate drinking water.
I guess you will not change your mind and return the hemp toothpaste in 28 days :)
Wow, just for £1.00?? that is an excellent price!
Haha! No, there'll be none of that for sure.
I think the price was amazing! I hurried home to try it to see if there was a catch, but it is perfect 😍
I am glad you found such a bargain 😇
😊😍
Never encounter hemp toothpaste yet, even the aloe vera one.. gonna check the dispensary stores later... Have you tried the bamboo charcoal toothpaste? That's the only one I tried with natural ingredient..
No, I've heard of that one.
My girlfriend will be disappointed when I tell her that I'm comparing the Forever Living Aloe to this Hemp toothpaste, but honestly, I cannot fault this Hemp one, and it's the kind of product that you would want to stock up on:)
I hope there's Hemp toothpaste here too.. I wanna try
I get the impression that you'll find it there. I was so pleased to find this one for £1.00 because healthy toothpaste can be so bloody expensive:)
I'm sorry about your knee condition, and that you haven't been able to run as you wanted on this occasion.
Wise choice when it comes to hydration, a freshly squeezed juice is an excellent option
I had never read about deltal hemp paste, for all the information you share it is an excellent option for the care of our teeth
I take this opportunity to wish you an excellent weekendHello dear friend @millycf1976 good day
Yes, it's a shame about my knees, but at least I can still walk 😆
Yeah, OJ is so refreshing when it's natural. I might start squeezing some at home.
Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely weekend too:)))
Walking, Jogging or Running is a good form of exercise and I prefer to walk to prevent quick exhaustion most days
I had to dig up the toothpaste online to see if we have it in stores here and luckily for me, I found it in an online store but without any review.
I will prefer to check the physical market where I could probably check out what I want to purchase to prevent buying imitations.
I currently use Colgate, I have tried different brands including herbal and they only give me temporary satisfaction.
Thanks for the suggestion.
It's interesting to see that they are available in your country, or at least similar ones:)
We have some herbal options here, but they're expensive and not always available. Even the normal mass produced ones cost around $2 to $3 USD. So the herbal ones are usually 50% most costly.
I've been searching for some fluoride free options but most of these need to be imported from a nearby country or some place. I still can't find any proper options here, at least not online. I guess I'll have to check some big super stores, where the prices usually go through the roof. 😂
Yeah, I've tried various herbal toothpaste that makes you not want to brush your teeth. So, this one was more than a pleasant surprise. I'm tempted to go and purchase all of them off the shelf 😆
Damn! It's that good? This is the first time I've seen someone saying that they wanna buy a whole shelf full of toothpaste. 😂
🤣 Yes, it's that good!
I quite enjoy brushing my teeth... It's a great refresher throughout the day, so they probably wouldn't last very long 😆
I agree, it is a great refresher. Funny how something so common and simple can be so revitalizing.
Now I just need some good fluoride free toothpaste, so that I can enjoy my brushing sessions even more. 😂
I've never tried this brand. It looks good though. And it doesn't hurt to have an extra toothbrush.
I've had a charcoal based one and and aloe-vera based.
I want to ask, if you don't mind, what is that Nivea stuff in the first image and how good is it?
I was gonna comment on the Nivea, but I made the toothpaste the highlight:)
This is a lighter version of the original Nivea. The scent is the same, it's just as moisturising, but I guess it saves you a few minutes rubbing it in the skin (the only drawback to the original Nivea Creme).
This Nivea Soft is 300ml and the Original Nivea Creme was 200ml for the same £3.99, so I thought why not give it a try? I'm happy with it. The good thing about this Nivea Soft is that it can be used for the face, body, and hands, but I have specially sensitive skin face products, so I'll use it for hands and body only:)
Oh, that's awesome. Thanks for the tip. I'm not sure I'll find at in the mall in my vicinity but I'm willing to give it a try. I'm a big fan of Nivea products.
I hope that you do find it. It would be good if you got the chance to compare them. Yes, I think Nivea is a good brand, but sometimes it's just annoying to use, because I can't apply it fast if I'm in a hurry 😅
Wow, I learned several things today with your post Milly 🌸 I didn't know that Omega is used to fight bad breath or that this toothpaste exists. Also, the money savings compared to the others, is amazing. Thanks for showing it 🤗 I find it a super cool option and that I would use, no doubt 🤩 In my country I have never seen it.
Pd: I also walk around looking for the best prices 🤭
Haha! My shopping is NEVER quick 😅

Thanks for your continuous support @teamuk:)
You got all that for just $1 dollar, that's interesting, with its ingredients even similar to your regular toothpaste also coming with a free tooth brush, I'll definitely jump on this offer too, as long as its healthy and quite comfortable to use,
😊🤗
