Inter-town and inner-city buses are unreliable and ridiculously expensive. However, the National Express cross country is an excellent service despite being privatised. The drivers are courteous and handle bags for airport travel too. That's something to remember if you ever visit the UK.
Travelling on trains, especially in London is the most unfriendly experience, ever lol.
