Living Lightly: A Day in My Life | KISS

"Minimalism is not a lack of something. It’s simply the perfect amount of something."
— Nicholas Burroughs

Life has been messy for a long time, for the last few months it's been a little bit organized due to the blessing of corporate life. Yeah, your minimalist guy is now doing nine-to-five jobs even though he was never interested in them. To be honest, I didn't think of the comfort, flexibility, and my place of interest would align so well as now.

So the day starts early in the morning, freshens up and sets for my office. There are plenty of options, local buses are the cheapest and most hectic options, bike ride-sharing is costlier but smooth and fast and the ultimate solution is metro rail, budget-friendly and smooth. I love the neat, clean, and calm environment. Everything stays organized and people behave like that as well leaving behind their instincts outside.

This is my desk, where I spend most of my daytime with my colleagues. What's in here? My laptop, mouse, water flask, mousepad and mask. What's more? A cup of coffee perhaps, that's it, my working environment. It's evening by the time I get out of the office.

Every week, I'm lucky to get hold of a PS4 and play them. Yeah, PlayStation in our office, lol. They are like, “Don't just be a robot that you will work, work, work, take a break and have some refreshment, let's play!!” So yeah, I do prefer that, sit tight and play some FIFA matches with my colleagues. I might have, walked out and gone for some roaming here and there carefree but after doing work the whole day, my energy level also gets low so the best fit is to sit tight and go for these….

On office days, it's always tiresome when I get back home and feel like taking a rest until the next morning. Hehe, but again, I have other chores to do. Give time to my beloved, and whatnot. So it's always a wholesome experience to go rooftop and sip over the cup of tea. In Dhaka, it's quite rare to have access to the rooftop and the views are truly splendid, can't describe it in words. For me, it's always a gateway to refreshments as I tend to avoid chaos as always. I always prefer calm and simple things, whether it be an environment or a situation to stay in.

So this is my typical daily life story, how I choose rides to my office, to my workstation where I spend the whole day, and some refreshments in both the office and home. Being a minimalist, it's always easy to go with the flow of picking the simple, calm, and less complex options that feed me the need to ride, work, and refresh.
