FREEDOM FRIDAY : ALL IS WELL

in The MINIMALIST3 days ago

Now she realizes my advice.

I will be always with you...png

This Friday, we went to the hospital for some check ups that was necessary to confirm all is well and the good news is that, she is all right, but after the ordeal we faced in the hospital, she now realizes, why a minimalist life style is necessary as we grow older.

Most of the time, the body gives us signals, and we are the best doctor of our body, if we recognize those signals and should take necessary corrective actions, which at times takes long duration. In contrast, if you go to a doctor and present your doubts, they will write a big story, asking you to go through several tests / procedures that pinches our pocket nicely. Since we have a corporate insurance, it covered everything, but the procedure needed her to be admitted, and performed in OT. But no one takes the pain - and the negligence of the hospital made it worst.

She was a little panicked and I was able to convince her to not worry as this was just a procedure, and there was no significant risk. It was just that, the procedure was supposed to happen in the OT - MOST of us panic as soon we hear the name of Operation Theater and she was no exception. Still I managed to give her all the positive vibes, being with her all along.

The procedure was scheduled at 7 am, and she happily went inside , I was told to wait outside. But after 15-20 minutes, the doctor called me - my heartbeat started increasing - it should have taken that much time to just have her ready after anesthesia, did something went wrong!!! The doctor tried to explain me the shortcomings of the hospital - the OT did not have what she needed even though it was communicated the previous day on which she was admitted. So the operation had to be postponed to 1 pm (by which their operation staff will fix the shortcomings) and she was taken back to the room. She had to stay empty stomach on drips till that and was quite frustrated. I even offered help in the OT, to bring whatever the doctor needed, but they said, its not allowed.

WE initially planned to come home by noon, but everything changed and I had to eat there. To deal with the stress, I managed to start writing my previous post and counseling her at the same time.

When she was brought back from the OT, everyone was staring like something terribly wrong happened but it was the impact of the anesthesia. These are the times to realize the importance of minimalist values - you better should not need to go to hospital. Once you give the control to them, you are just a body for them - they will utilize it to the fullest to drain maximum money. The Insurance covers everything, but what about the pain !!!

The doctor told in the OT that we can go home once she is normal ( out of anesthesia impact). While she was sleeping, I enjoyed some nice snacks but when nothing happened after three hours, I started to push for the discharge, after which they again took couple of hours to prepare and send the final approval. The bill amount shocked me - it was more than 50k including two days of room rent, which was wrong, because our stay extended only because of their negligence. I fought a lot with their administration, and said, if the Insurance does not pay, then I am not going to pay you this extra charge and even take legal action against you because it was a mental torture for her.

It took three more hours to get the final approval ( that too me pushing the Insurance people from our Corporate help desk), and we were finally discharged at 10 pm. Our system is so pathetically designed that, you don't have any way to take any action using simple means - only bear the consequences. The ward did not have the feedback form even, which their Assistant Medical Officer (AMO) asked to use to file a complain. The Insurance desk closed by 8 pm and the AMO coordinated the discharge - the job of the Insurance desk was to get the money - they don't care what happens to you.

I am still trying to file a formal complaint using suitable means, and this post will be part of my review ( and the complaint if possible), but now she understands it's best not to go to hospital, and be in charge of our well beings. "ALL IS WELL" - remember this quote ? Keep saying that to yourself in confidence and you will be all right.

This post is in response to the FREEDOM FRIDAY theme of this week.

Happy to hear that she is well and not happy to hear about your troubles with insurance and the hospital stuff... Nobody likes to get sick, and I suppose that nobody likes to deal with paperwork either... It will get sorted out... The most important is that ALL IS WELL!!!

The most important is that ALL IS WELL!!!

Yes, otherwise, we would have been more stressed. Thank you for picking my post.

Thank God, all is well. 😊 My best wishes to her

Thank you so much.

Am glad at the end it all turned out super, please do take good care of her

I am glad that he is okay and discharged. Healthcare services are starting to evolve into a capitalist system all over the world. I think health services should be completely under the control of the state and should be free.

I think health services should be completely under the control of the state and should be free.

Unfortunately privatization gives them full control to loot.

You are just a body for them.

I strongly agree with this sentence.
Unfortunately, in the sub-continent, we should try to avoid two places.
The first one is the hospital, and the second one is the police station.
In both places, they are only waiting for clients to loot them...
Unfortunately, the process of filing a complaint against them is also very complicated...
So the advice is to try to avoid it as much as possible to visit these places.

Along with treatment, prevention is also necessary. May Allah bless them with perfect health, Ameen.

I'm glad to know that she's getting on fine. All will perfectly be well and you'll be free from the stress

Bella reflexión. Sobre las señales del organismo , mucha salud y bendiciones .

You are right, our body does give us signs when things are not well but we usually ignore them.

Wishing her a quick recovery, and do take care of yourself also. All the best

I am very happy that your patient has recovered and is on the road to recovery. Asking about someone's illness is a good habit and is rewarding.

Thank God ma'am is healthy now. Staying healthy is important

Having someone by your side and holding your hands while giving you the strength you need is beautiful . Glad to know she's okay. At the long run having a positive mindset and always affirming it is what we need

Good that everything went well in spite of the difficulties, blessings.🙏

Thank you..

I wish your wife well, medical care has become very expensive. This is crazy. There needs to be legal control against this. At the same time, the laziness of insurance is annoying. You are good minimalists.

There needs to be legal control against this.

Unfortunately the legal system is so messed up, they don't have capacity to even listen.

I am sorry to hear that what was supposed to be a routine check-up turned into a nightmare because of the medical system. The good thing about all this is that your wife is fine.

I hope you can file a complaint, dear friend @sanjeevm

Namaste 🙏 Sir, we don't want to go to the hospital, until it's not necessary. It's great to hear that nothing found serious by the doctor and right getting aged we need to maintain good food habits and focus on yoga and exercises. !INDEED

getting aged we need to maintain good food habits and focus on yoga and exercises

there is no better medicine than yoga and exercise

Right Sir🤗 !INDEED

The truth is that sometimes we go for something routine and it turns out to be quite a torture. Also, how do you say, the suffering of seeing our loved one in a hospital bed in pain is terrible and the most painful thing is the feeling of not being able to do anything to alleviate a little of the pain they are suffering.

It is true that our body gives signals and it is up to us to have the possibility of understanding those signals and how to change what harms our body. I imagine that experience was very painful for both your wife and you, but thank God everything was resolved and it didn't get any worse.

Oh dear sister, get well soon. It's a good thing that you are getting better now

The thought of being in the OT can definitely make anyone anxious, but having someone like you to provide comfort and positivity makes a huge difference. I’m sure she truly appreciated you being there for her! 😊💙

I’m happy that mama is healthy again
Nothing beats good health

I am really happy that everything is fine health-wise. Also I want you to stay strong, everything will be fine. That is also why we need to always constantly go for medical check up

The best thing is that she is feeling well and healthy now
I wish her a very fast recovery!

Thank you so much.

Good to know that she's getting better, I wish her speedy recovery.
