Gosh, those peaks! Flashback to 2016 when Canmore, Alberta, was home sweet home. That's where my photo journey kicked off—cruising down winding mountain roads, scaling peaks to capture that magical last light caressing the summits. But those years, they've slipped into the past, and those cherished mountain peaks? They've morphed into prairie grasslands and commercial film gigs.
This place? It's where my creative saga unknowingly took root. I became utterly fixated on immortalizing the beauty around me—always seeking new techniques, better spots, and, let's be real, upgrading gear whenever I could!
Last week, a work trip pulled me to Calgary, and I seized the chance for just one day to reconnect with those once-familiar mountain ranges. Gratitude floods me for this incredible place and the fire it sparked within. I miss it like crazy. Driving those same dirt roads, ones I navigated seven years ago, memories rush back, vivid as ever. My heart yearns to return, to create more moments in that mesmerizing landscape!
I'm in love with the first one, what a beautiful shot!
I like the pink at the top of the peak, it creates a nice contrast with the blue sky and the dark tones below.
Those are great peaks with low light. Every time I look at peaks like these ones, I imagine myself up there. They'd be impossible to climb without gear but in my imagination, I just drink a can of Red Bull :)
I really like the last one, it’s a beautiful shot.
