Week 17, 2024: Leading lines / Líneas guía
I found interesting diagonals in this session I had on a Friday, where there are bands leading towards Kaia's beautiful face. I only removed a small leaf-shaped spot from the background that matched my model's hair, nothing more. Beautiful natural golden hour light.
Encontré diagonales interesantes en esta sesión que tuve un viernes, donde hay bandas que conducen hacia el hermoso rostro de Kaia. Solo eliminé una pequeña mancha en forma de hoja del fondo que hacía juego con el cabello de mi modelo, nada más. Hermosa luz natural de la hora dorada.
Week 18, 2024: Something I made / Algo que hice*
It may seem too obvious, but the best thing I have ever done is my daughter, so I made this portrait for her. I used a snoot to focus the light on her face.

Week 19, 2024: Wide aperture / Apertura amplia
I wanted to do another lighting exercise with the snoot (one original and another DiY made from a cardboard tube), so although this challenge was not appropriate due to the narrow focus range, I did it anyway. The flower is a genetic variation of an Adenium obessum, held with a clamp used by perfumers. The original snoot is pointing to the bottom behind and a little below the flower. The other snoot made from a cardboard tube is pointing in front of and above the flower. The Nikkor 85mm f1.8G is very bad focusing at F1.8, that's why I always use it at F4, which is enough for the beautiful bokeh that I achieve in outdoor portraits. In this case, I focused at f1.8 manually and then in post I strengthened the focus on the first petal.
Quería hacer otro ejercicio de iluminación con el snoot (uno original y otro DiY hecho con un tubo de cartón), así que aunque este desafío no era apropiado debido al estrecho rango de enfoque, lo hice de todos modos. La flor es una variación genética de Adenium obessum, sostenida con una pinza utilizada por los perfumistas. El snoot original apunta hacia la parte inferior detrás y un poco debajo de la flor. Week 20, 2024: Reflection / Reflejo
My friend Ivis and I agreed to meet each other around the Universal Art Museum. In some parts of its walls there are very reflective glass and in one of them we took some photos thinking about this challenge. This photo is without skin retouching, just a little editing on the sleeve of her blouse to hide the bra strap.
Mi amiga Ivis y yo acordamos encontrarnos en el Museo de Arte Universal. En algunas partes de sus paredes hay cristales muy reflectantes y en una de ellas tomamos algunas fotos pensando en este desafío. Esta foto es sin retoque de piel, solo una pequeña edición en la manga de su blusa para ocultar el tirante del sostén.
Some photos may be closer to the challenges posed than others. I will embrace imperfection!
