For sure. The demand has weakened a bit in the past couple of years thanks to higher inflation and less affordability but people will still pay insane amounts of money on the latest and greatest. I know individuals in my country(shitty Romania) who are probably paying something like 15% of their monthly wages for credit that they used to buy a damn smartphone(a flagship of course). We are probably living the era of abundance, and somehow this abundance is also making our lives more convenient but some are really paying the price for that...

Yep, the same here although the average wage is probably higher. (Possibly balanced by the higher cost of living?) Anyway, people are buying like there no tomorrow, so much so that mortgage interest rates have gone up nine consecutive times with inflation sitting at just below eight percent. The rate increases aren't slowing spending enough. I guess people must have the latest mobile phone huh?
There's tough times coming, of that there is no doubt.
Crypto is starting to make so much sense...
Yeah, but I think even that can be challenging and, as you well know, nothing is a certainty. Life is so complicated these days huh?
It's been complicated throughout my whole life. Being born in an ex communist country three years after the regime was abolished and living with a highly corrupt government for over thirty years made a lot of things complicated. I won't complain anymore over things I can't control... Simply moving forward nad doing my best.
Yep, I get it. Sometimes, living in a very affluent country like Australia, its easy to forget that things have been monumentally difficult for many others. Fortunately, I'm one of those who is a little more informed and so I make sure I show gratitude for what I have and some empathy for those who do not have it.

The problem is that even the ones who have lived for half their lives in here forget easily the dumphole they left from.
Don't get me wrong, I love my country and part of its history but since 1989 we've been conquered by the West.
Romanians are mostly cheap labor for the EU. That while having insane amounts of natural resources and a quite friendly climate for agriculture.
When you have time search for "Rosia Montana" and you'll see on what treasures this nation is sitting.
The leaders are weak and these ones are elected from the people. We are no longer what the Dacians used to be.
