A walk to remember

Here I am again, making another post about our incredible trip to Durban earlier this year, photographs seem to be my love language, I just adore capturing the world around me and saving all the memories I make in my camera. And with that I will now spam my blog with the countless photos I accumulate so that all you lovely people can also enjoy my memories and see the world through my lens. This post is about one of my favourite routines that my husband and I created that turned into the best daily rituals: walking from our chalets down to the beach, spending quality time together walking along the shoreline and then walking all the way back to the chalets.

The route itself was its own adventure as we had to weave through overgrown bushes and plants to get to a weathered bridge that crossed over an abandoned railway track that ran through Durbans lush landscape. Once over the bride and through some more bushes, we climbed over the large mound of sea sand until finally the beautifully blue ocean was in view.

That quality time together I truly cherish, Just the two of us strolling along the shoreline, barefoot sinking into the sand and talk about everything and nothing all morning. I miss those moments now, the simplicity of life as we walked hand in hand along the beach, with only the sound of the waves and seagulls.

Editing these photos was such a fun way to relive those holiday moments. I am yearning for more barefoot beach walks and the peaceful moments they bring.

I hope you enjoyed the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them! More Durban content coming soon... 🌊
