Who wants a four leaf clover when you can find a little four in one red flower. I love these small blooms, tiny and delicate flowers backed up by some mean looking thorns... I saw a quote once that I fell in love with that goes something like this "You can be sad that rose bushes have thorns or grateful that thorn bushes have roses." I thought that was a great new perspective to life and its what came to mind when I saw the massive thorns along this flowers stems. Also every delicate flower needs some protection I suppose!
Nothing in the world beats this view for me. sitting back on a comfy poolside chair, reading a book and enjoying a cup of coffee with the view of the ocean right there. My biggest dream in life is to live near the sea, I would love to have a view like this everyday!
I spent this day on holiday mostly admiring the flowers and nature scattered around our resort, enjoying the colours and smells of all the different plants. I sat watching the bugs on this yellow flower for a while.
It also brought me quite a bit of joy taking some fun pictures of the architecture of this resort, the many staircases leading up and down and around all over the place. Its quite interesting, if you have visited Kwazulu Natal in South Africa, you can tell that it was created and built around nature... taking the curves and hills into consideration, building around the wildlife that fills the place. This resort felt like it was built directly on the side of a mountain.
It was a lovely slow day for me, one where it felt like time slowed down so I hope you enjoyed seeing time literally standing still in my photos and enjoy the peacefulness that the ocean brings.
Do you feel peaceful at the sea? I know some people fear the ocean more than enjoy it but dopant watching waves crash on the shore bring such calmness? Or is that just for me?
