Hello back, photography lovers! I am already behind schedule with my challenge due to some unplanned obligations that booked my last few days. Our Tai Chi group had a presentation/workshop for the celebration of Chinese New Year which is now in the sign of Dragon. It went well and now I have more time to dedicate for photography explorations.
Photos in this post are taken on Tuesday but I am just now able to post it for the challenge. I'll bring it up to speed now so that I can return to uploading approximately every other day.
In this one we are exploring Belgrade's streets at night, focusing especially on architecture. As a long-term resident I tend to overlook the architectural beauty of our city seeing it as ordinary. And even though Belgrade is not beautiful as some other European cities (certainly not as clean), it does have a soul that people fall in love with.
We are walking around at night and looking at the well lit city, and the interesting buildings jump out by the way they are illuminated by flashlights and street lamps. It brings out the intricate design of facades, roofs and balconies. It's both modern and classical.
It is the city of nightlife. Even on Tuesday you can see the cafes are full and welcoming. It truly is the city that never sleeps, which is both nice and exhausting. Hope you like the photos from the lively city!
Here's a short reminder of the project challenge in case you missed it:
- Post 15 photo blogs in 30 days
- Show at least 10 photos per blog, no matter how good they are
- Act as if shooting the film camera, one roll (battery) per day, limited number of shots, minimal attention to reviewing images on the LCD in real time
The baklava philosophy is a good one ;)
What a good sequence - the woman looking through the window of that blue building, and then we see the interior of those two venues... (we all became that woman 😅)
Could be your intention or a nice coincidence ;)
I had to take a snapshot of that sign, so clever. :D
The sequence is coincidental haha, although it would have been a good storytelling. I tried something like that in the past. :)
Coincidental or not, those photos are now connected :D
My grandma (maternal grandma) lived on the main street, in the centre, and I remember many passers-by looked inside through the window while passing by the house. There was nothing special in the living room to look at, but still, people are curious :D
Hahaha that's funny, but I'm not surprised. :D It's in our nature to be curious and look around.
A beautiful city. Great photos!
Glad you enjoyed!
Amazing like always ✌🏻
Thank you very much!

Beautiful city!
I love the shots without flash, so much contrast and saturated colours.
Thanks for sharing!

Wow, 🤓 what is that in the sky? Did we get a visit from the Aliens?
The photos you take through the windows have a very particular charm. 😍 And the girl approaching the window (seems like she's calling someone or looking for someone) has a nice glow and a touch of mystery.
The nightlife and night photography are just something else! Too bad not everyone can capture the beauty of it so nicely done as your work :)
I like the soft evening light in this church
The pictures are captivating, it tells the whole story without even reading first.
It's got the good and bad sides. :)
