Welcome back everyone! We are having a lot of rainy days lately and it is very cold so outside walks are now reserved only for the most determined. Mornings and evenings are dark and the motivation is low - only those who really want it will go out to train, travel, hike or engage in a similar activity.
I recently started running inspired by the book I reviewed last week here and it's indeed a challenge to wake up at 6am and run on a cold morning. It's very tempting to stay inside and enjoy the warmth of the house. But on the other hand, doing challenging tasks builds resiliency and will power.
When you challenge yourself with a chosen tough activity regularly you learn that you are capable of much more and it translates into other areas of life. Similar to cold showers in the morning. Sometimes it looks like unnecessary torture but it builds character.
I like photographing in extreme weather conditions so I try to go out whenever I am free. This started the night before, I had an hour of free time before my training so I walked around Sava promenade and photographed passing trams and and vibrant reflections around the bridge. It is so dark - my lens is wide open at F/2, shutter speed between 1/60 and 1/125 and it's still challenging for a camera to capture a smooth result. I just love the photo of a couple holding hands at the back of the tram. :)
Next morning the rain intensified. Photographing people with umbrellas is always fun, especially if they look good with it. :) The red ones really stand out against these dull backgrounds. I even ran into a group of tourists all with the matching red umbrellas. Last 3 shots are from a previous day. Hope you enjoy the photos!
Ова последња фотографија је просто спектакуларна! 😂😂😂
Свака част како се нађеш на правом месту, @alcibiades. Ушио си Картије-Бресона 😊
amazing photo @alcibiades I love the atmosphere in this photo.
It's not raining in our place but it is so cold outside, but for sure it is colder in there seeing those people wearing thick and long clothes and jacket.
Anyways, those are pretty good shot photos again (人 •͈ᴗ•͈)
I love the mood of these shots.
That photo of the couple in the rear of the train is classic. I also love the one of the woman in the window of the green train, the way the ice on the window blurs out everything but the one face.
How do you keep your camera safe in the wet weather?
