Thermoelectric plant - Sines | Portugal

Hi all :)

It is amazing to look at something like this, of this size, and imagine that until very recently it was still in operation and generating enough energy to supply a third of the electricity consumed in Portugal, of those products considered extremely polluting, compared to the entire range. of clean and sustainable energies that have gained enormous support due to the urgency of implementing green policies.
This coal plant was deactivated in January 2021 and since then its dismantling began, but now that we are in 2023, and looking at it, everything looks the same since its deactivation, so seen from afar, it seems that not a single cable has been removed, in addition to the visible stripping of the adjacent building that served as the logistical base for that entire operation.

And since this colossus is located in an extremely interesting place, it would be of great value if it were no longer there, as it is difficult to go unnoticed and believe me, that for those who pass there, it would not matter at all if in that place to see an open field or anything else that does not block the horizon.
Let's hope i´m wrong about everything being the same since 2021 and that the dismantling is in fact underway, so that place is quickly vacated.
The entire surrounding area would gain immense.
That's all for today.
