Macro Photography - Three species of small insects

In this post I want to share some macro photos with small insect objects. There are three different species of insects, all of which have their own charm. The first insect is an insect in the order Hemiptera which at first glance looks similar to a mosquito, and is relatively almost the same size.

However, this small insect is not a mosquito species but an insect in the planthopper family. The insect that I am sharing has the Latin name Anotia bonnetii, a species of planthopper from the Derbidae family. I was interested in photographing this insect because apart from its shape which resembles a mosquito, it also has a combination of colors and is equipped with two wings which are like a fairy in a fairy tale.

The second small insect is a species of ladybug which is of course quite common. This small beetle from the Coccinellidae family is a pest for several types of plants, especially pumpkin, eggplant & bean plants.

Ladybugs from the Coccinellidae family also have several color variants, some are red with a combination of black spots and some are slightly yellowish red like the one I am sharing.

And finally there is a small butterfly perched on a fallen wildflower. The size of the butterfly is more or less the size of the wild flower. I'm always interested in shooting small objects, especially butterflies, which I think are quite pleasing to the eye.

And the butterfly is Pseudozizeeria maha, or known as "pale grass blue". This small butterfly often flies back and forth in the grass area, unlike medium or large sized butterflies, I rarely see it flying at a height above 2-3 meters. This could be due to its small size as well as safety reasons for it, because if it is too tall with its small size it will certainly become easy prey for predators such as dragonflies.

That's an interesting creature. At first I thought it's a mosquito, then I saw you said it's not. I hope not to meet it here 😂

At first I also thought it was part of a mosquito, but it turned out to be a type of planthopper. Why don't you want to meet him? :)

Very good shot my friend, I have to learn a lot from you so that I can shoot some insects like you did, I really like it.
May I know you are using a mobile phone whose camera capacity is how much my friend 🙏😊

Thank you for commenting. It's not about how good the smartphone camera capacity I am using is. But how good and experienced you are at shooting macro is what really determines the results. Try to do it more often. I hope this helps..

I think the quality of the camera also determines the quality of the image, of course I will continue to learn about photography macro, maybe with time I will be much better, thanks for the solution my friend
