I shot this photo in Vedauwoo Wyoming. Vedauwoo is hands down my favorite free camping spot in the country and I've been all over. It's Located on the edge of the Medicine Bow National Forest, so beauty abounds throughout. I love this photo.

I witnessed this sunset at the Garden of the Gods in the Shawnee National Forest. This GotG's in Illinois, so don't confuse it with the one in Colorado. It's not as big, but is most certainly as beautiful.

This one was shot in Western Nebraska on the way back from a trip through Utah. That's the sun being screened through heavy smoke from the annual Colorado wildfires. While not awe inspiring, the mango tint it caused made me feel weird.

This rainbow showed up right outside my front door. While rainbows are quite common here, because of the Missouri River Valley a couple miles to the east, they usually aren't so pronounced. You can never see enough rainbows.

While I'm hardly a professional photographer, I try to compose each shot with intent. My secret though is that I take hundreds or even thousands of photos and sort through them later. A good 75% get sent to the recycle bin, but I usually end up with plenty worth sharing and a few I consider premium. These are premium for my skill level and I hope you think so too.

My intent is never to simply take a picture to share the image. It's always the beginning of my blogs. I craft all my writing around the images I capture. The goal is to both learn something new and share what I've learned with others. This way my content is always fully original and the process insures I commit the new information to memory. So, I'm experiencing, researching and writing about what I've learned, which are all three ways we humans use to learn.

I consider myself a life-long student and blogging is the best way for me to learn. That being said, I cannot research every image and while every image is unique, the topic that goes with that image may have already been covered. That's where the beauty of the Liketu format comes in. It gives us a new way to present our images, while making it easier to keep things fresh.

My main goal is to educate and inform those who are hungry for information, but you can only add so many images to a blog without it losing its readability.

So, my goal with blogging is to learn, reinforce what I've learned, pass on relevant information and bring eyes to Hive. For this reason my titles won't be glammed up, but instead will be concise long keywords, so they will show up in relevant searches for browsers. This is the best free advertising Hive can use to get in front of the eye's of the world.

So, after being dormant for over two years I've decided to go all in with Hive. This will include not only personal investment, but financial as well. This also includes creating a couple more Communities that will be about content that makes other platforms popular, like YouTube, but to bring them here instead.

Every new experience adds to the respect, wonder and awe I feel when bonding with this living entity we call 🌎.
Please make sure to take the time to get outside and bond with your environment. Your health will thank you at every level of your being and please share your experiences with the world. Personal communal knowledge is beneficial to us all, because this interaction is essential to our evolution.
