Purple but prickly

in Photography Lovers3 years ago

It appears to be quite rare these days to come across a flower that hasn't been scorched by the sun or a leaf that is still green. Fortunately, this region of the country is abundant in lakes, artificial ones and that keeps the green greener!

I used to wait for this flower to bloom, then dry it off and use it as a decoration. Prickly stems look very nice when brown.

The purple colour was visible from the other side of the lake, I recognized it, but when I approached dozens of bugs were on it.

Even though the wind was blowing, they didn't give up on collecting nectar.
On the flower next to it, two young baby bugs, are tucked in.

Then I discovered that nectar is the only food for these bugs and that they only live in similar places that are covered in nectar. I'm sorry I couldn't get closer and photograph her ravenously tearing the flower with her ''hands".

Half drained, but there is more left. These seem like teenagers, capable of navigating tall weed stalks deftly.

This is one of my favourite weed photos, death is pretty.

Intruder! We have an intruder!

Don't know who this little fellow guy is, but he was silently minding his own business and I moved further in order to bug someone or something else.
