Mom and Kids on Vacations... Sad Family Background

Isabel is part of a large family that I had photographed in a photoshoot the day before here in Havana. On that day, she was late in getting ready to come out and then never found us and we never met on the street, not even explaining it to her over the phone. However, I was lucky that she contacted me the next morning still interested in doing that session, and I gladly arranged all the details with her to do it. She came with her two children and we started in the surroundings of the Capitol building. Although they were a little tense at first, as the minutes passed they relaxed and it showed in the photos. After visiting almost every corner of this area, I suggested continuing along Paseo del Prado, where we took advantage of beautiful and very Cuban views, until we reached the so-called Malecón, the wall that borders the northern coast of the capital. In this area we took more beautiful pictures, but we also ended up here and it is then that thanks to their kindness we were able to stay and talk for a while. Then I learned that her husband and father of her children had passed away a few years ago, a victim of Covid. The little girl barely got to know him, but she asks about him every day. I was sincerely affected by this farewell. Enjoy the pictures!
