Hello dear friends,
for weeks I could already admire your great mushroom articles on HIVE, but had to watch idly ;-) In the as always dry South Spessart and Southeast Odenwald (forests) there was still nothing to collect. Here the really productive mushroom season usually begins only at the end of September or even at the beginning of October. So we were due to the recent very heavy rainfall this year again before October ripe. Yes, finally are to be found also with us - the porcini etc....

Hallo liebe Freunde,
My first tour has led me to the Schenkenwald (forest). This starts right outside my front door, so I can ride my old e-mountain bike comfortably up the hill to Nassig. I also found some porcini mushrooms. It is like almost always. The finds I have done in principle in 20 minutes at two of the places known to me. The tour lasted however surely scarcely 4 hours. In the almost infinite forest widths I try to find also always new mushroom areas. This is also necessary, because in recent years the forest works have destroyed many very good sites (hopefully only temporarily).
🍄 🍄 🍄 🍄
But I'm not only trying to find new locations, I also like to look closely in general. I have never seen this mushroom in this form consciously. I also do not know what it is here. Does anyone of you know it by chance?
🍄 🍄 🍄 🍄
The Diana Hut between Nassig and Boxtal looks like a witch's cottage. In the vicinity I have found without end Goldröhrlinge. The golden boletus is this year an absolute mass mushroom with us. I can't remember to have seen so many larch boletes as this year.
🍄 🍄 🍄 🍄
For a long time, the forest here was only green. But now it is also red again. Since you have to make do with berries. But of course there were now also red-cracked boletus and fly agaric to find.
🍄 🍄 🍄 🍄
If you're looking for an Audi here, you'll quickly find what you're looking for. From my local mountain, you can easily see across the Main River to Hasloch in Bavaria, where Audis are reconditioned. A lot, isn't it?
🍄 🍄 🍄 🍄
The yield of porcini was still manageable. But it was enough to provide my in-laws and us with a good meal.
🍄 🍄 🍄 🍄
I would like to close this contribution with this happy accidental find. I was already on the way home and could not overlook the upper specimen on the roadside, of course. The small fruiting body I have discovered only when harvesting. A beautiful pair in the forest staircase.
🍄 🍄 🍄 🍄

Looks like you found some good ones! Those yellow slime molds are always trippy. Glad to see this year has the possibility of being fruitful for the mushrooms there!
Hello my friend, yes I am also glad that there is finally something to photograph, or even partly something to collect. Of course, I collect only the edible mushrooms. In this case, I could even be so picky to take only the porcini mushrooms, because they were more than enough in terms of quantity. I'm about to go out again and search a little. It is supposed to rain here on the weekend. Since it makes not quite so much fun.
Have fun getting out and about and i wish you all the best in seeing and finding some more mushrooms. Even if it's just to shoot. Hopefully though, you can get some good eats. I know we all ALWAYS need to be careful when foraging mushrooms to eat... but we aren't amateurs by now! hahahah
We need to get out and get some more Chantrelles. Those are my favorite and i didn't take any photos of all the ones we got so far this year.
Cheers my friend! Also, if/when you decide to post some more music... feel free to do so in the Alien Art Hive Community. We have a musician or two in there i think you would really hit it off with. Cheers browski!

Ich bin schon auf dem Weg!
Heute regenet es... bin zu Hause... ;-)
It's great that you found so many mushrooms in the forest. They are very magnificent with amazing shapes and bright colors. The berries are also beautiful with red color. The mountain view and river view is wonderful. Great shot! Thanks so much for sharing.
Thx dear tangmo :-)
You're welcome!
I appreciate your photography skills. You put life in your snaps ☺️
Thank you very much. ;-)
That red mushroom is cute. but I don't think it's edible. .
How do you identify the edible and not? It's not safe to just eat any kind of mushroom..
I have been collecting mushrooms since I was young. My father taught me many things. I only collect mushrooms that I am absolutely sure about. The red Fly Agararic is - as you have already correctly guessed - poisonous.
Those mushrooms are looking so lovely! Can they be eaten?
No, only in part. The red Fly Agaric, for example, is toxic. Porcini mushrooms, on the other hand, are edible.
I wouldn't recommend it... but they say if you get a mature Red Fly Agaric and double boil it that you can eat it without worry of the toxins. They also say the ones that are young like in the first photos Andy took that they have the most toxin. These are the kinds of mushrooms the Vikings supposedly drank before battle to become berserkers. So.... i would go with the Porcinis. 🤣
You are right. During the war, many Fly Agaric ended up in the cooking pots. But I would not eat them, and certainly would not make a recommendation here to do so ;-) ;-)
Fungi that grow fresh, can be seen from their fat shape.
Do you consume it?
Because there are several types of Fungi that can be consumed, and the taste is very delicious.
I collected only the porcini mushrooms. We also eat them. All other varieties I have left and only photographed.
Yep, there are things that must be avoided/cannot be eaten, because they contain poison.
Awesome finds, a pleasure to walk with you.
Thank you very much ;-)
Those are amazing mushrooms..
Thank you very much
Thank you, Vielen Dank, muchas gracias :-)
This is nice. 😃 A tour around the forest for some mushrooms. Apart from the poncini, I hope the others are edible.
No, not all of the mushrooms shown here are edible. The Fly Agararic, for example, is poisonous.
