📷 Increasing variety of mushroom species

Hello dear friends,

I was still able to find some mushrooms last week. The quantity of chanterelles was no longer quite as plentiful, but the variety of species increased. And as it finally rained properly again today and tomorrow is not expected to be any hotter than 30 degrees Celsius, there should still be mushrooms to be found in the next few days. This old specimen of the parasol mushroom was really huge. This mushroom, which is edible in itself, is of course no longer suitable for frying due to its age. But in the event of a downpour, you could easily take shelter there ;-)

auch in der letzten Woche konnte ich viele weitere Pilzfunde verzeichnen. Die Menge an Pfifferlingen war nicht mehr ganz so üppig, allerdings nahm die Artenvielfalt zu. Und da es heute endlich wieder mal ordentlich geregnet hat und morgen noch keine Hitze um die 30 Grad Celsius zu erwarten ist, dürfet auch in den nächsten Tage noch Pilze zu finden sein. Richtig riesig ist dieses alte Exemplar des Parasolpilzes - auch Riesenschirmling genannt. Für Pfanne ist dieser an und für sich essbare Pilz auf Grund seiner Überalterung natürlich nichts mehr. Aber im Falle eines Regengusses könnte man sich glatt dort unterstellen. ;-)

I also found a nice specimen of the grey spotted amanitacap. This mushroom is not considered to be particularly flavoursome. It is also easy to confuse with the potentially deadly panther cap and should therefore not be collected. I don't collect this mushroom and have therefore never eaten it.

Auch vom Grauen Wulstling habe ich ein schönes Exemplar gefunden. Dieser Pilz gilt als nicht sonderlich schmackhaft. Zudem ist er auch leicht mit dem potentiell tödlichen Pantherpilz zu verwechseln und sollte daher nicht gesammelt werden. Ich sammle den nie und habe ihn auch noch nie probiert.

Man begegnet im Schenkenwald nicht nur Pilzen. Da sind auch noch andere Dinge zu entdecken...

At last I found the first boletes. In the car park of the outdoor pool I found some lurid boletes. This mushroom would have been edible if it hadn't been totally wormy. If you cut it, it immediately turns blue. This is extremely worth seeing.

Endlich habe ich auch die ersten Röhrlinge gefunden. Auf dem Parkplatz des Freibads habe ich einige Netzstilige Hexenröhrlinge gefunden. Dieser Pilz wäre essbar, wenn er nicht total wurmstichig gewesen wäre. Schneidet man ihn an, läuft er sofort blau an. Das ist äußerst sehenswert.

Was zum fotografieren ist die Gelbe Lohblüte, auch Hexenbutter genannt. Der sieht aus richtig schön gelbe Zitronencreme.

And I finally found the first summer bolete of 2024. Visually, it was still looking good. The cap test was also positive. The cap was still really firm. Unfortunately, the maggots had already taken a liking to the mushroom. I therefore left the mushroom in the habitat so that it could continue to sporulate there.

Und endlich habe ich auch den ersten Sommersteinpilz 2024 gefunde. Optisch stand er noch gut da. Auch die Hutprobe verlief positiv. Der Hut war noch richtig schön fest. Leider hatten auch hier die Maden bereits Gefallen an dem Steini gefunden. Deshalb habe ich den Pilz im Habitat belassen, damit er dort weiter aussporen kann.

This mushroom is not on my "I can identify it with certainty" list. However, I strongly suspect that this is probably a banded amanita. Can anyone verify this?

Dieser Pilz steht nicht auf meiner "den kann ich sicher bestimmen" - Liste. Allerdings vermute ich stark, daß es sich hier um einen Scheidenstreifling handeln dürft. Kann das eventuell jemand verifizieren?

On the other hand, I can definitely identify the green-leave sulphur cap. This mushroom is an absolute mass mushroom here. Unfortunately, it is poisonous and therefore not for the cooking pot - unlike the conifer tuft, which I unfortunately find much less often.

Sicher bestimmen kann ich dagegen den Grünblättrigen Schwefelkopf. Dieser Pilz ist bei uns ein absoluter Massenpilz. Leider ist er giftig und daher nichts für den Speisekorb - im Gegensatz zum Rauchblättrigen Schwefelkopf, der ich aber leider viel seltener finde.

But even if I didn't find any mushrooms, a tour through the Wertheim woods would always be worth a trip. I have also published new music. But more about that in another article on HIVE.
