Galata Tower and Maiden Tower

In this post, I uploaded two pictures. Galata Tower and Maiden Tower. In my opinion, these are two very iconic buildings in Istanbul. In addition to the mosque building that we have often seen.

Maiden Tower

I started my trip to Istanbul by flying from Malaysia to Istanbul. After arriving at Istanbul International Airport, I headed straight to the hotel that I had previously booked. The hotel is located in the Sultanahmet area, the center of Istanbul which is very close to many famous tourist attractions.

In the morning, after breakfast, I head straight to the Maiden Tower, which is located at the southern tip of the Istanbul peninsula. To reach the Maiden's Tower, I have to cross by boat from the harbor. During the boat trip, I could enjoy the beautiful view of the harbor and the Bosphorus.

After arriving at the Maiden's Tower, I went straight to the top floor to enjoy the view of Istanbul from a height. From here, I can see beautiful views of the Bosphorus Strait, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, and Hagia Sophia. In addition, at the Maiden's Tower there is also a museum that displays the history of the Maiden's Tower and Istanbul.

Galata Tower

Meanwhile, Galata Tower is located in the north of the Istanbul peninsula. To reach Galata Tower, I took the Ferry from Uskudar, which is not far from Maiden's Tower, and in less than 25 minutes, I arrived at the location.

Galata Tower is an ancient tower built in the 14th century, and was formerly used as an observation tower to monitor ship traffic in the Bosphorus Strait. Today, the tower has been converted into an observatory and cultural center featuring traditional Turkish dances and arts.

I went up to the top of the Galata Tower by elevator and reached the top of the tower, I was amazed by the extraordinary view of Istanbul from a height. From the top of the Galata Tower, I can see the Bosphorus Strait, Maiden's Tower, the Blue Mosque, and various other famous tourist attractions in Istanbul.

After enjoying the view from the Galata Tower, I took a walk around the Galata area, which is known for its restaurants and cafes offering Turkish specialties.

After lunch, I returned to the hotel and finished my journey in Istanbul.
