La polimita es uno de los caracoles más bellos del mundo, son endémicos de Cuba, específicamente de la región de Guantánamo por lo que están protegidos. Hubo un tiempo donde peligraron debido a que muchas personas los querían como souvenirs.
En esta ocasión me habían regalado varios por lo que no resistí la tentación de fotografiarlos con mi cámara Canon D60.
