Greetings, fellow photography lovers! I hope you are very well and that it is a nice day for all of you.
On my return from Medellin, from the window of the plane, with my cell phone camera, I prepared to capture the sequence of the landing in Bogota. I have always been fascinated by that transformation that occurs when we go from being suspended in the sky to touching the ground.
I took the first picture while we were still high in the air. As we descended, the view became clearer and I was able to capture the mountains surrounding the city, imposing and majestic, as if they were the guardians of Bogota.
The sun was beginning to play with the shadows of the plane over the landscape. I took several pictures at that moment, marveling at how the light reflected the shadow on the ground. In the images, the plane looks like a stamp printed on the greenery of the land.

A mi regreso de Medellín, desde la ventana del avión, con la cámara de mi celular, me preparé para capturar la secuencia del aterrizaje en Bogotá. Siempre me ha fascinado esa transformación que ocurre cuando pasamos de estar suspendidos en el cielo a tocar tierra.
La primera fotografía la tomé cuando aún estábamos en las alturas. A medida que descendíamos, la vista se volvía más clara y pude captar las montañas que rodean la ciudad, imponentes y majestuosas, como si fueran los guardianes de Bogotá.
El sol comenzaba a jugar con las sombras del avión sobre el paisaje. Tomé varias fotos en ese momento, maravillada por cómo la luz reflejaba la sombra sobre el suelo. En las imágenes, el avión parece una estampa impresa sobre el verdor de la tierra.

Below, the city began to reveal itself in detail. Bogota from the air is a vibrant mix of colors and textures, and in each photograph I tried to capture that energy.
The instant before landing was the most exciting. The shadow of the plane became sharper and more defined on the ground, marking the exact point where we would touch down. In one of my last photos, you can see the plane's wing with its shadow stretching out over the runway, as if it were guiding us to the end of the trip. The wheel touched the ground gently, and I felt that slight jolt that heralded the return to terra firma.
Today, I looked at the photos on my camera with a smile of satisfaction for the experience of this moment and wanted to share them with the community. I had managed, with these photographs, to capture the magic of that descent, the beauty of Bogota from the sky and the excitement of arriving home. There is nothing like seeing the world from above and feeling how little by little we approach our destination. And in that landing, with each image I saved, I confirmed once again how fascinating it is to travel and observe life from another perspective.
Más abajo, la ciudad comenzó a revelarse en detalle. Bogotá desde el aire es una mezcla vibrante de colores y texturas, y en cada fotografía intenté capturar esa energía.
El instante previo al aterrizaje fue el más emocionante. La sombra del avión se hizo más nítida y definida sobre el suelo, marcando el punto exacto donde tocaríamos tierra. En una de mis últimas fotos, se ve el ala del avión con su sombra extendiéndose sobre la pista, como si nos estuviera guiando al final del viaje. La rueda tocó el suelo con suavidad, y sentí esa ligera sacudida que anunciaba el regreso a tierra firme.
Hoy, miré las fotos en mi cámara con una sonrisa de satisfacción por la experiencia de este momento y quise compartirlas con la comunidad. Había logrado, con estas fotografías, capturar la magia de ese descenso, la belleza de Bogotá desde el cielo y la emoción de llegar a casa. No hay nada como ver el mundo desde arriba y sentir cómo poco a poco nos acercamos a nuestro destino. Y en ese aterrizaje, con cada imagen que guardé, confirmé una vez más lo fascinante que es viajar y observar la vida desde otra perspectiva.

Photography is a way to feel, touch and love something or someone.
When you capture something with a camera you do it forever.... reminds us of little things, long after we've forgotten everything.
