Hello, my friends, photo lovers.
The weather outside is harsh and cold in winter. Even birds prefer not to fly once more in such a frosty air. And what about insects?
They have been sleeping in their secluded places for a long time and dreaming of the past warm summer.
Do you see summer in your dreams?
If not, I'll add some summer photos to your feed.
They will depict a dragonfly I know.
We're not really friends with her, but she let me take these photos.
Thanks to her patience (and mine too) I managed to do it.
While the dragonfly was basking in the sun, taking off and then landing back, I filmed it with my smartphone.
I was lucky that she returned to about the same place every time. Apparently, this was her favorite place.
And I was waiting for her there and taking pictures.
I took pictures in macro mode, so I had to sneak up very close to the insect.
I acted very carefully, pretending to be an inanimate element of nature. I was attracted by the dragonfly's wings. They're so thin and transparent.
They looked so fragile. But thanks to them, the dragonfly can move so quickly and unpredictably in the air.
And you know that the dark spots in the upper parts of the wings do not exist for decoration. They carry a special functional load.
They ensure flight stability and dampen unnecessary vibration of the wing.
It's a whole science - aerodynamics. And at the same time the beauty of nature. Only God could create such perfect beauty!
