When something changes for the better, that's when the eyes and hearts rejoice.
I have been here many times since I arrived in this neighbourhood and I remember how it used to be.
A square with a few plant beds, a fountain in the middle that often didn't work and the people who sat on the benches there at night had very low energy. You know what I mean.
It is called Bailén square and it is located in a triangle where two streets converge, and until some time ago the place seemed gloomy, dark and unsafe, especially at night.
A few months ago, I saw how they were destroying all that, in order to develop a new project for that place. It is emblematic of the city, at least of that neighbourhood, and is often an obligatory stop for people.
During the day there is a lot of car traffic and as it is very close to the Bailén market, people crowd around it. In addition there are many shops of different types of food, clothes, and various articles.
This place, this square, deserved to be more beautiful. And finally the day came when the work began, after a long time in which the dismantling of the previous square was carried out.
Little by little it was taking shape, but it was impossible to know the final design, it was all balled up and you couldn't see it well. I suppose that, like me, the people in that neighbourhood had the same curiosity. I didn't pass by that place very often, but when I did I saw the progress.
The first time I saw the finished square was during daylight hours and I was happy with what I saw. A renovated place where children could play, full of colour.
There were flower beds with a variety of plant species. New modern benches where people could sit and chat or mothers could accompany their children who were playing in these modern constructions where they could have fun, share and laugh.
The paths inside the square were clean and everything was very tidy. The place was different, the energy had been renewed and there was nothing left of what it was before. I only saw it as I passed by and didn't pay attention to the details until the next night.
The square at night has a special charm. I had seen that it had a very modern water fountain, but at night it is magical, with its jets of dancing water and colours that change with the weather.
Water is life and this place needed those two things, life and colours. The views of the city from the different angles where I stood near the fountain were beautiful.
The children's games, empty at night, were equally impressive.
The square was silent, no laughter, but it seemed that it could still be heard in the distance, waiting for the next day's news. People leave their energy wherever they go and children have that purity and that pure vital energy, so the square is now a very magical place.
At its entrance there are two sculptures, I think in bronze, and I really liked the fact that they are of children, inviting you to flood the place with joy and multiply it. You can feel the renewed air and I liked that a lot.
A space, like so many in the city, that is renewed for the better day by day and that people can enjoy and admire its beauty as I did that night.

Rescuing these places and beautifying them is what people are grateful for. It has a dual purpose, during the day for the children and at night for the parents and neighbors. Hi @avsdesing, this ride has tired me less than others, and I appreciate it, I've been outside all day (I'm tired). It has been very nice the plaz after the work. I actually find it very cozy, and a very nice place to be in the evening. I also liked the two bronze statues.

I understand how such a change can bring good energy. People are influenced by places, but let's go further, if people don't take care of themselves they will be low on energy and feel sad and bitter... it's all energy. That's the conclusion.
