This time I decided to test the smartphone for background blur. Separating the subject from the background gives depth to the frame. It's easy to do if you have a full-fledged camera with a good lens in your hands. You open the aperture wider and in manual mode you do precise focusing on the subject. The nature of the boke will depend on the characteristics of the lens. I like the blur that Helios 44-2 gives.
The smartphone is arranged differently. There is no aperture control. Everything happens automatically in accordance with the processing program. Your customization options are severely limited.
Let's see what can be done in such conditions.
В этот раз я решил протестировать смартфон на размытие заднего плана. Отделение объекта от фона даёт глубину кадру. Это просто сделать, если у вас в руках полноценная камера с хорошим объективом. Открываешь пошире диафрагму и в ручном режиме делаешь точную фокусировку на объекте. Характер бокэ будет зависеть от особенностей объектива. Мне нравится размытие, которое даёт Гелиос-44-2.
Смартфон устроен по другому. Там нет управления диафрагмой. Всё происходит в автоматическом режиме в соответствии с программой обработки. Ваши возможности настройки сильно ограничены.
Посмотрим, что можно сделать в таких условиях.
Close-ups come to the rescue. There was a light snowball and a couple of snowflakes managed to hit the lens. Instead of a shooting defect, it turned out to be a very cute gentle effect.
Here I have chosen the automatic mode "food". In this mode, the smartphone's camera captures the center of the frame in focus and blurs the edges. Quite a funny mode, you will have to try it in the forest.
In normal mode, even at a small distance, the background blur practically disappears. Saves a white background due to snow and some removal of other objects in the frame. Against the background of the grass, the picture would be almost flat.
Here I tried the "macro" mode. I think that with better illumination, the quality would be much higher.
Some more winter graphics as usual.
And again macro mode. I had to stretch my arms up and shoot almost without aiming. A selfie stick would come in handy here. The smartphone is too light and hand shake greatly affects the macro quality.
