I want to warm you with the summer sun. After a long winter, the spring turned out to be quite severe. But our subconscious mind remembers warmth and kindness and tries to protect itself from any negativity.
The sunflower is a symbol of the sun for me. And the bee, which you can see in the second photo, symbolizes the hive and hard work. The path to this sunflower was not as easy as it could have been just a week before this bike ride.
It was a hot summer and there were practically no normal mushrooms in the forest. The mushroom picker was waiting for the rain and this happened.
We just went to explore.
My sister and I got on our bikes and went to a distant forest. I can’t say for sure, but the road one way is at least 5-7 kilometers. The road... you see the quality of this road. I didn’t shoot much on the way, I had to work more with my feet.
This road sign really amused me. It stands in a village where only one permanent resident lives. True, vacationers come here in the summer. But I understand the crosswalk is the most important thing here.
Whatever it was, but I would agree to live here. Perhaps someday it will happen. Do you know why? Around this village there are pure forests, a couple of kilometers from here the wonderful river Tvertsa flows and it is very calm here. Now I will show you all this (though without the river, we did not reach it).
To get from the village to the forest, you have to cross the stream. Now it has spilled heavily due to the rains. By car, I would not dare to drive here. Once I got stuck here and barely got out. But it is easier with a bicycle, especially since there is an old bridge in the bushes next to the road.
Actually this post is supposed to be about mushrooms, but the only mushrooms we could find were these two beautiful aspen mushrooms.
It's not much, but we had a great walk. And the sun even came out in the evening.
Surprisingly, in the middle of the forest, we found a field sown with oats. It was unexpected and pleasant. Unfortunately, in these parts there are many abandoned fields that have already begun to overgrow with shrubs and trees. The land here is not very fertile and requires a lot of maintenance and fertilization. But a huge amount of work of ordinary people has been invested in these fields, and sometimes it is painful to watch when they disappear. But nature takes its toll. This is a natural process. I remember from childhood when chic mushroom places were taken away from the forest under the fields. Everything comes full circle.
Lovely pictures! Although we had a smooth Winter this year I really look foreward to the summertime. I also could imagine living in such a quiet place with all the nature around, hope you get yours one day :-)
After winter, you always want summer, and in summer we begin to feel sad for the snow.
