At The Seaside With Jess

Jess at Theddlethorpe beach

Its been a few months since I last shot with a model, so when Jess contacted me about a shoot at the coast I thought it would be nice to get my toes wet, so to speak. We'd had four or five days of glorious sun and high temps (that's probably the great British summer over with for this year). But typically on the day of our shoot it was cloudy, grey and raining.

We decided to give it a go anyway and met up late morning at Theddlethorpe I've used this beach a couple of times because it's nice and quiet. A bit of a pain to get to, but worth it when you do. The frustrating thing about the beach is that you need to mount an expedition to get to the sea when the tide is out.

We decided to move down along the coast to Chapel Point. The heavens opened when we got there so went for some lunch until the rain cleared. At least, when it did, we were able to get to the sea very easily.

North Sea Observatory at Chapel Point

The shot above was taken from in the sea and is of the new(ish) North Sea Observatory. A nice place, a well supported cafe and some fabulous views out to sea, As luck would have it almost the moment i started to drive home, the sun came out and stayed out all the way home. Just how typical is that!
