Sorry I have been so so quiet for the past few months, life has been busy with a lot of focus on my post-grad studies, which still has another month involved in it.
Although I wanted to pop in with a post related to the news of Sebastian Vettel retiring at the end of this current Formula 1 season.
I was at the Monaco Grand Prix in 2017 and as a track, it offers by far some of the best access for photography for the regular fan in normal seating.
The views from the viewing area of La Rascasse were wonderful as can be seen from the entrance and exit of the section here
While the view of the exit of St Devote offered a view of the extreme acceleration as they exit the corner
And this was at the time when pitline interviews were introduced after qualifying which gave an added extra view of the drivers if you were in the right spot!
Vettel finished the race first in 2017 after passing Kimi during the pitstop cycle, clearly the faster driver of the two that day he made the time up to clear Kimi with his in-lap, and from there, well that was history, nobody was passing in this race.
Sebastian Vettel, love him or hate him, and for me, I wasn't a big fan when he was a Redbull driver, with his finger in the air as he won or his Crazy Frog over the radio are two things that came to mind. And the less said about Multi 21 the better!
But it was his time at Aston Martin, where for me getting to see more of the real Seb, what he believed in, his inclusiveness, willingness to speak up for those that cannot and his belief in a better world as well as his silly dad jokes!
And as said, love him or hate him, he has a legacy in F1, with 4 titles and 53 race wins. He won't be forgotten!
Excellent shots! Glad you found some time to post.
Thank you! I should hopefully be trying to get back into things again soon as soon as everything settles once again.
