Next week, seek out some of the views from a very high peak in Blang Keujren District, Gayo Lues Regency, Aceh Indonesia.

To get to Aceh Gayo Lues, I traveled a long way from Medan City, North Sumatra. The route from Medan goes to Kabanjahe, Brastagi, Kutacane, Kedah and arrives at Blangkejeren. Travel time is approximately 10 to 11 hours, depending on road conditions too, usually during the rainy season the road tends to be buried by landslides. That is your route in the city of Medan, but I chose the path through West Aceh to Mount Trangun, I chose this route because I departed from Banda Aceh City.

I need to race my motorbike in one more day of travel to get to Gunung Leuser National Park.
Blangkejeren in Aceh's Gayo Lues District once triumphed as a tourist spot rich in nature and animals before the Military Operations Area or DOM was enacted in Aceh. Blangkejeren, Ketambe and Kedah are prima donna for foreign tourists who want to enjoy the beauty of nature and wildlife in Gunung Leuser National Park.
The charm of Aceh Gayo Lues is fading into suspended animation when the DOM is enforced. But now the Enchantment of Aceh Gayo Lues is on the rise and many tourists who are looking for adventure are starting to come here.

Gunung Leuser National Park is one of the favorite national parks for nature lovers, because of its unspoiled nature and Leuser is one of the Nature Conservation Areas in Indonesia which has a land area of 1,094,692 hectares.
Indeed, administratively it is located in two provinces, namely Aceh and North Sumatra. Even though what I know to be able to trekking to Gunung Leuser National Park is the closest from Ketambe Aceh Gayo Lues.
Gunung Leuser National Park and the area around it is known as the Leuser Ecosystem Area which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are about 130 species that can be identified in Gunung Leuser National Park, namely: Sumatran tigers, elephants, rhinos, gibbons, monkeys, leopards, reptiles, fish, and also 325 species of birds.
Mount Leuser has the highest peak at 3,381 meters and is one of the largest and most diverse national parks in Indonesia with an area of 7,927 km² on the northern tip of Sumatra. When crossing it, you will be presented with an extraordinary view. The true adventurer will not be disappointed when exploring this park.
