#introduceyourself

Hello all in Hive land. I'm still pretty new to this and figuring things out. I found this place by starting to play splinterlands. So far I have been doing ok (now that I bought a Mylar).

Some of my hobbies include treasure hunting. Examples of this are thrift store scouring, Yard sales, metal detecting, and mining. Mining is probably my favorite. I have two of my own mining sites, but they are far away and I don't get to play on them very often. Most of the time I go up to a pay to mine place in upstate NY for Herkimer diamonds.

Hope to learn a lot more about the people here and currently I reside in central NJ. Thanks all for taking a look!

You are welcome to Hive. I hope to see more of your findings.

Hey @bigbarger - thanks for doing an intro post! And at first I was jealous of your treasure hunting hobby - then I saw those GORGEOUS Herkimer diamonds and I'm dying of envy! I've been wanting to hit NY and search for my own for the past couple of decades (ever since I realized they were a thing when I found them in a local witchcraft shop). Great finds!

Oh, and we're practically neighbors. waves hello from Southern New Hampshire

Be sure to shout out and tag me again if you have any questions, and again...

Thank you so much! You are probably closer than me to where I go. Its called Ace of Diamonds in Middleville NY. Very hard rocks to break but very rewarding.

Welcome man. I'm looking forward to more of your photography. I just delegated you some Hive Power so you can reply to comments without running out of resource credits as fast.

Thank you much appreciated. Hive is an extremely new thing for me. Lots of great quality posts here to look at from all over the place.

Welcome to HIVE! Never heard of those diamonds before, very interesting, and you are obviously better at finding those than fishing LOL (teasing). I do some treasure hunter too here in the Southwest in Arizona. Placer gold is very common here and I do some gold panning now and again. The diamond thing though, that is super cool!

I would love to find some gold! I'm sure you have seen the gold rush show? And Bering sea gold? What I really want to do is get back out to Nevada for opals in virgin valley. Those things are very nice.
