Yellow, the color of the sun, is a color that stands out and brightens any image. This week's competition calls for yellow. Old-timers in Hive remember the Color Challenge, with a color every day.
As on other occasions, even now I can't pick a favorite photo and so I put more.
As on other occasions, I didn't take photos specifically for this contest. I chose from my archive what I hope fits the theme.
Autumn like spring brings many colors in nature and so we find yellow too, especially in autumn when leaves enter the contest.
The meaning of yellow
I chose for the title one of the meanings of the color yellow, as I found in an article on the net. Let's find out the others...
Yellow symbolizes joy, happiness, optimism, idealism, imagination, hope, and summer. But it can also be the color of betrayal, jealousy, sickness, dishonesty, cowardice, and greed.
Choose what you like. I like summer best and find it natural that yellow is the color of choice. The color of the sun, the sand, the sunflower...
Sunflowers would have been the easiest choice for this contest but I don't think it's a good idea. Creativity is expected of us!
I don't know if I was creative but I hope I can try creativity through diversity. That's why I put photos that are not related to each other.
I participate in the amateur tier, of course!

Have a wonderful weekend! I'm sorry that this week I don't get to post on #marketfriday. I'm getting ready for a 400km trip. Tomorrow, if all goes well, I will see the sea! South Bulgaria, to Sozopol, a place I love and haven't been there for 5 years.
I think your photos are from a Greek Island :) I like yellow as well, however I prefer blue as a summer colour because it represent sea, restaurants and houses at a coastline, mostly Aegean.
Blue is my favorite color too, for the same reasons as yours. Only two of the photos are from Thassos, the mermaid ones.
