On A Rainy Sunday

Until today fall felt like summer, and now is beginning to look like fall. Although some important people don't believe in climate change, it's everywhere.

Sunday is a good day for a walk but the rain that's falling now makes me change my mind, stay indoors, and look at nature out the window.

The longing for a walk, but not necessarily this sentimental one as when I could walk I didn't enjoy it enough, make me remember images from my most recent walk through my favorite park, the Circus Park in Bucharest.

This is my favorite tree proves to me that the saying is true that trees stand still and, what's more, that they hardly give up on life.

He attempted to trick the dead, but unfortunately, he was unsuccessful.

The main purpose of the walk is to photograph everything I like, everything that moves, and more. That's why I no longer perceive walking as something meant to relax and for that the feeling of unfulfillment.

I look at the photos of people in the park and at this moment I envy them that they have rested, sought shade or sun, each according to their need.

Even if I didn't relax, on the contrary, I can say that I worked, and did something like others.

No, I didn't walk the baby, it wouldn't be possible, my boy is 42 now. I did, in fact, do what most people who come to this park do, which is to watch the wild ducks who have chosen as their home a small pond in the middle of a small park in a big city.

But the pond has another attraction, bigger than the ducks, it's a plant that grows only here and it's a wonder that it has adapted to the cooler climate of Romania.

In the middle of the park is the "Natural Spring Lake", almost round in plan and 0.75 ha in area, with Egyptian lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) / (Nymphea lotus), a flower declared a natural monument in 1931. This rare plant has a growing season that begins in the spring days, develops vertiginously, and covers the lake's waters with large leaves and beautifully colored flowers in summer. Source

The lotus flowers have gone but the large, round leaves remain. Among them is a good place for ducks to hide or to sharpen food.

That’s how I was able to set aside thoughts of the rain pouring outside and the chill that winter had in store for us.

I rely mostly on photos in all my blogs. Words don't help me as much as photos.

I always start with photos when I want to write a blog. Photos remind me of places, events, and feelings that then turn into words. When I post in Photography Lovers the words have even less importance, they are a companion to the photos I want to show. This often makes the story uninteresting or common, yet it is necessary; otherwise, the photos would merely be a series of unexciting images.

I make this statement as a plea to those reading not to over-judge the text and to focus on the photos. The story puts everything in context and provides the explanations and clarifications necessary for the blog to convey something of interest to the reader.

Since we all love photography, let’s explore the captivating details captured in these photos.!

A wise saying goes that a photograph is worth a thousand words, but I don't think so.

It depends on the viewer.

Autumn has truly arrived and it is already very noticeable, close to winter, when it rains it is difficult to go out.

I love the pictures of the pond, the birds swimming among the plants, and the reflections that are generated in the water. They give me calm.

Thanks, it's my favorite pond.

I hope to bring mine soon, it is in the botanical garden. Thanks to you.

What a pretty park! I wish that autumn looked so nice where we live. We didn't see the sunshine for the last couple of months...

Oh, and my mom has a dog just like the one on the 3rd photo 😍

Oh, God! So long without sunshine! On the east side, where I live, the summers are getting harder and harder to bear, the weather is getting warmer and warmer. We cool off in these parks when we go for walks. Yes, I know this breed of dog, there are a lot of them here.
