Spring comes with the old habits but the habits are mine, they are not the habits of spring as one might understand. The oldest custom in the world (not to be confused with the oldest profession in the world) is walking!
Sunday's walk was a must for me and my wife, but this pandemic has changed almost everything in our lives. It comes in waves over us, when we feel a little better and we start to think that we have escaped, hop, another wave appears.
Fortunately, spring was able to slip through these waves and come. He came with the hope that our lives would become what they were before this calamity.
The good weather, the warm sun, and a little rain made nature come to life. Almost imperceptibly we saw the flowering trees around us and the heralds of spring, snowdrops, and violets already gone.
The most beautiful park was waiting for us to enjoy the old habit of walking. I can't say that I haven't walked in this pandemic before, but now it was a walk, as in the old days. Almost ten kilometers.
The walk always starts from the Free Press Square, the entrance to Herastrau Park in Bucharest ... Romania. Beautiful weather, a pleasant temperature, and little people. What could be more enjoyable? The flowers were the first to greet us.
Trees and shrubs and bushes bloomed. A beauty that you must enjoy immediately because it will not last long.
This park has a large lake in the middle and alleys surrounding it. Everyone's favorite place to walk. On one side the water and on the other the flowering trees. There is not much to say, just walk and fresh air. A rarity in our city. One of the few places where we are far from pollution.
It seems like the park has never been so beautiful. This park was arranged almost a hundred years ago in the place where there were a forest and a swamp. The trees are left from that forest called Codrii Vlasiei and the swamp was transformed into a lake.
Because there was once a forest, in the grass are wildflowers, spring flowers!
Birds and small animals, fish. Everything was here. After the park was closed for almost six months last year, the squirrels disappeared. They were probably based solely on human food. Now I have met some wild pigeons, I have never seen this variety before.
As for the fish, I didn't see them but instead, I saw the fishermen. Where there are fishermen, there are sometimes fish. Not necessarily.
Beyond trees and flowers, the lake and small birds and animals are ... people. I like people and I like to notice them when they walk.
Spring does not deny, it is changeable. When I entered the park it was clear and sunny and after an hour it started to rain. A quiet rain that sends us home.
The walk ends where it started but now it is raining.
It was a good walk. Preparation for what is to come. Because summer will be full of walks.
Life is beautiful regardless of the passing troubles. Everything passes, unfortunately so does life, so we must enjoy every moment.

Beautiful spring flowers and nature! They have come to life once again!
Oh! Yeah! I do need new habits!! I tried to kick my backside, but it works for two days! Please send help! I must start anew like spring time! LoL
I would like to send you an incentive but I think nature will do more than I can do.
Thank you so much! Nature has been so lenient on me! I hope I won’t let Nature down!
With pleasure!
I also like the feeling of spring bringing everything is alive again feeling although we don't really have 4 seasons here.
That's right, the climate is different and has its peculiarities, but we can read here about two or four seasons. Interestingly, global warming is pushing the four seasons to be two.
Spring seems to have changed almost everything in our lives this year. Last year we almost drowned in the wave. This year, Having learned so much at times, we have become stronger in different ways. Ways that we do not think possible.
The good weather has come and brought us backer Beauty. The blossoms and the forsythia her waiting everywhere I look.Herastrau Park is blooming out so beautiful or perhaps it's just because I have missed so much of this for so long. The tiny pops of pretty are you everywhere showing off with spring is here. Your picture looks like a wood pigeon oh, I think that they a little bit larger than a regular kitchen and usually have some way down their neck and wing. In England, they call them Culver's. Spring is so changeable and if you remember from elementary school, April showers bring May flowers. LOL I love the pink blossoms at the very end. Just a perfect way to end a post. Thank you so much for the beauty! Have an amazing week!
Thank you, Denise! So these pigeons are Culver's! I haven't seen it so far and it looks very much like the description you made. I saw about ten in the park and I hope they stay here. You are full of wisdom, Denise: April showers bring May flowers, I did not know of this proverb. It's perfectly true.
Yesterday I did the first dose of Moderna and today, my wife and I are on the ground, the reaction is quite harsh.
By the end I hope it will be good for all of us, we have to take it in small pieces so I wish you a rainy April but not completely.
Really? I am so sorry to hear this. More than likely, tomorrow you will feel much better. The one-day down is what I have seen or none at all.
Wood pigeons are what I thought they might be. That is what we call them. The same pigeon is called a culver in the UK. I know, I said England, the name I still use for the U K.
Well wishes to you and your wife. You both got the same reaction?
Yes, the same reactions. The "advantage" of answering late, I can say you were right, everything is fine now.
I say the same, also England. I'm not used to the UK.
I think those are the pigeons you're talking about. I like.
Sorry again for being late, @dswigle!
No problem! It seems like I am running late all the time!
