From time to time we have an infestation of green bottle flies in the house. Don't really know where there are coming from but they are very annoying. One day I decided to take some pictures of them and to my surprise, they were very cooperative. Pretty sure they liked the attention. I would have sent those pictures afterward by mail but couldn't catch their address before they leave.
All those pictures were taken with a D800 and a 60mm macro lens using macro tubes. My sweetie @chaosgeek would hold the speedlight to have the proper lighting for said portraits.
For this one, the fly landed on a light tube in the kitchen. What was nice is that it makes a really nice and clean white background. Couldn't have been luckier on that shot.
This one was taken on top of the stove range hood.
You can always make fun and creative pictures with any subject. People are always looking too far to get the best picture when most of the time, you have million opportunities right in front of you.
