The end of another challenging year beckons. 2021 has been in many ways, similar to 2020 for me. Loss of income, irregular jobs, repeated lockdowns, and the like. I am thankful though, for the opportunities I get to go out and take some photos, as a hobby and as a self therapy to calm my mood. Hopefully 2022 will be better overall for everyone. Without further ado, here are some of my favorite photos I've taken this year.
1. I was headed to a nearby beach before dawn in hopes of getting a few sunrise images. While driving through a small town, this Chinese temple just stood out and caught my attention. It was nestled among the row of dark shophouses by the roadside and I just had to pull over and snap a photo.
2. I was waiting for my uncle and was walking around the looking for a spot to have my dinner when I took this photo. The roadside stalls for the common folk against the backdrop of the Petronas Twin Towers with all the glitz and glamour of the city.
3. This image has been posted in this community before, but I'll still include it here as it's one of my favorites. A lone tree against the backdrop of a cloudy sky. My feeble attempts at trying out something like woodland photography.
4. Couldn't sleep one morning, so I went out to a nearby park located on a hill. All the lights were not working and it was pretty spooky. Until the sun started to peek from below the horizon and I was greeted by a lovely shade of colours.
5. Last but not least, a trail taken while hiking. I took the picture with the thought of, "what's round the corner?". Hopefully the new year just round the corner will bring some pleasant surprises.
And that's it for my entry, all pictures were taken by me on my trusty X100F. Thank you for viewing.
Yes, it's much better here on the west coast. But rains are still forecast for the east coast and flooding may still occur.
