The weather was mostly cloudy in the early afternoon when I walked to the bay of my hometown.
The tide was high, the sea was calm as usual in this sheltered place ...
... and I was rambling around ...
... focused on the things that float in the shallow water.
The Little egret was hunting at the edge of the water.
A bit further, the small boats were resting by the wooden dock.
Nothing stood out, really. But everything looked cool enough to take a shot or two.
After an hour, I walked to another part of the bay. To the main port with bigger boats and slightly deeper water.
There I photographed this lovely little boat with its big black buoy, and I met some friends from the city that I rarely encounter in my hometown. We went to the nearby restaurant to have a drink or two. I don't remember how much we drank, but we talked a lot, that's for sure. After some hours, when we went out of the restaurant ...
... the weather has slightly changed. It was brighter.
As the sun was slowly going down, the light got warmer and more intense.
Things were much more colorful now ...
... and I continued photographing the boats and buoys, with a renewed inspiration.
In this photograph, you can see the nice bright colors spread along the horizon ...
... while here, the focus is on the dark subdued tones of the water before my feet ...
... ideal for accentuating the shapes and details of the small boats.
Here you can take a look at some stuff near the other side of the bay.
Small boats again, plenty of colorful buoys ...
... and some new apartment buildings with a nice view of the sea.
The yellow buoy on this photograph came as ordered to show the depth and perspective.
This sunken old boat was the find of the day. I like how it looks with a couple of buoys floating near it.
This is another forgotten little boat ...
... stranded on the dry mud most of the time. The tide was exceptionally high today, so I saw this boat reflected in the water for the first time.
This boat gets regularly stranded during the low tide. But is regularly in the water during every regular high tide, unlike the previous one.
This funny blue boat looked ready to climb on the dock.
And that's it ...
... as always in these posts on HIVE, the photographs are my work - THE END.
