Photographer's Cut & Comments

Private / Secret / Making Of

Feeding

I was fortunate to witness the unofficial or non-representing moments of the model or the photoshoot, more casual, intimate & natural ones. Some of those were the moments of feeding. These moments are indeed very private, intimate & unique for each individual. Each of us has its own tiny secret rituals of feeding. So does Sara. She really, really likes to eat, probably as most of us. Sometimes she eats too much, probably also as most of us. But with the age and being in many different philosophical-spiritual schools, while exploring & watching my body functions, I realized that we definitely don't need so much food which is constantly being available in the rich countries around the world. There is such an abundance in the world that we surely are producing much more food than we actually need. There is such a waste of energy in producing all this food but it is good to have reserves in case of bad years or some kind of catastrophes. And than there is another waste of energy & time while preparing the food, eating it & digesting it. In some of the schools where I've been studying, I learnt that only 1 high quality meal per day can be sufficient for me to do many different activities all the day long. Another school claims that one should eat only the quantity of food that can fit one's both open palms connected together. I have tried both methods & also fasting for 24 or 36 or 48 or a bit more hours and it had such a profound effect upon my body & mind, cleansing me & making my thoughts more peaceful & my thinking brighter & clearer. Even in Bible was written something like: moderation in eating and drinking - and this is referring to all physical activities including sex or sports or anything what we do with our body.

Look at that face! How she enjoys her secret feeding moment with the phone in hand?! Hehe! So sweet, isn't it?! And so wrong, but anyway, this is the modern age - nowhere without a phone in hand!

Forest Sunglasses

There was a beautiful sunny day this winter, just few weeks ago, when we took a walk in the forest, near Kastav, Croatia. It is by a legend – a magical forest! It is a really nice place where not many people go & it was warm & comfortable day to enjoy the mild winter Sun. During those days we were just planning to do a real professional studio shooting so this was kind of a practice for Sara & me to check out how we suite each other in front & behind the camera.

In the meantime I gave my sunglasses to my friend the change the glasses glasses cause they were scratched & irritating my eyes. In the change process they managed to brake the glasses frame so they owned me some new ones. That was said cause I really liked the broken sunglasses but it inspired me to propose to my friend that Sara & me can make a marketing photo campaign for their new line of sunglasses that they are preparing. So we did few shots of Sara wearing different sunglasses to show my friend what we can do & weather they like or not...

I like so much the perspective of this shot & the contrast between vibrating green color in the background and the almost grey shade variation in front of this image.

Black In Black

That same day, after forest, we came home just before the sunset & the perfect Sun light was entering the living room so we made few more of these exquisite shots that I really like! I asked her just to change the sunglasses so that we can have some more examples with other type of sunglasses to show my friend.

I really like how this old Minolta Rokkor lens is working with Nikon Z6 in these low lights conditions.

Deserted Island In Color

I was writing about the trip to island Ilovik, Croatia with Sara & picking oranges, grapefruits & lemons but also swimming & a bit of shooting on the beach. Here I bring the color version of few of those photos.
