RE: COMMUNITY RULES UPDATE for PHOTOGRAPHY LOVERS

in Photography Lovers2 years ago

Man, Ross... i have had to bypass nominating some of your posts for a long time over the fact you were on Steemit. You are not a crook and neither am i or anyone else that started over there that had nothing to do with that stuff. If you don't even know what happened, i assure you, you are not The Crooks.

I took a break for many months on Steemit and came back to having no idea what HIVE was or what was going on with Steem and Tron and all the other drama stuff. I was afraid to post since i had friends that were in the middle of it all.

I am younger than you and it was extremely difficult for me to figure out all this crypto stuff. I would imagine it might have been even more difficult for you... maybe not. I am still figuring it out, actually. hahaha

Thank you for your power down over there. I just saw that you did and it means a lot to me that you took immediate action. This will make your life easier to just post on HIVE anyway. Plus, soon you will be eligible again for curation that isn't just a feature in the Community HotShots posts... but for possible higher rewards. This will help your future here on HIVE, and HIVE's future looks very bright!!!

I want to encourage you to not feel bad for not being a writer. Photography isn't necessarily something that needs words. However, it is nice to have some textual content to your post to show effort. Ultimately, your posts here, are curated on your photography. I have never selected anyone in this community for the stuff they write in the post. It's always based on the photos included in the post.

I also want to encourage you that it isn't pathetic to use this amazing opportunity to buy anything and supplement your finances. I didn't use any rewards until last year for the first time. I let my Hive Power stay half of my rewards so i always grow, and my vote grows, and my curation return grows,.... but i use my other half of Hive Dollar rewards to move out and take profits. It's not much, but like you, it helps to get me by.

I think the way i do it helps the account continue to grow while also getting some profit out at the same time. Powering down constantly will fluctuate your rewards and create time tables of longer waits etc. All things to consider moving forward here.

I am sure you will be happier in the long run and it's my hope that you will revive your passion to create and share your shots. Don't let all the details in the middle help erode anything. Hang in there and things are going to get easier and better!

Thank you for your kind message! I would have left entirely "over there" much sooner if I had known. There must have been posts and discussions I didn't see?

I had hoped to manage my account like you are doing. That was a goal for a long time. Hopefully I can get that happening at some point. Thanks again for your post about all this and your reply!

I should have told you sooner. I blame myself. I am not always as social as i can be on here since i am so busy doing the behind the scenes stuff. It wouldn't have taken much effort to drop a comment or mention it. I'm sorry Ross. We are all in this together and we will grow and prosper Here, together!

That's ok. I'm just glad to know now. 😀

Thank you!
