Circular photos and their history: Qurator Photo Quest

Hi,

The theme of this week's Qurator Photo Quest: Circles is a relatively simple theme to participate, but at the same time having a photograph with circles to tell a story through photography is complicated.

For my participation I have been thinking about three photographs and finally I have opted for this photograph where I wanted to frame the sun and for this I used differently an ND filter of my camera.

I took this photo at a moment when the clouds moved after taking one of my best photos in the old Roman mines of Las Medulas (León-Spain).

My second candidate photo and perhaps the first choice for the Qurator Photo Quest is this photograph of what looks like a circular garden.

However, it is not only a flower garden, but also has a clock mechanism built into it, which left me very impressed when I came across it.

The location of this clock is in the García Sanabria park, where one can find palm trees and ficus trees from all over the world.

And also beautiful cactus gardens.

My third choice, but still not sure why, is the photograph of this circular mirror in the bathroom of a hotel where I was staying a few weeks ago.

Sometimes I take pictures of objects in hotel rooms to provide me with reflections or striking shadows that I use in the #shadowhunters community's shadow and reflection hunting competitions.

I encourage you to participate in this edition of the Qurator Photo Quest and especially friends like @duvinca and @soulsdetour.

Best regards.

Geometry is everywhere, it is surprising that we overlook sometimes. Nice work @castri-ja
