My entry to Qurator Photo Quest: Ducks
During my walks through different parks in Spain, there is a common element that I am always fascinated by.
Indeed, the wonderful and amusing ducks.
María Cristina Park in Seville
In the city of Seville, in the largest green area of the city, there is a special place, the bird islet.
On my last visit to the city I really enjoyed seeing so many birds, and they were totally accustomed to humans. They allowed me to get very close to them without bothering them.
Especially this beautiful duck that even turned its neck to pose perfectly in front of my camera lens.
Condes Park (Monforte de Lemos)
In the small town of Monforte de Lemos, one of the essential places to visit is the Parque dos Condes. It is very close to the Nuestra Señora de la Antigua College.
Here it is easy to see ducks racing along the canals.
But when they reach the Roman bridge, they stop to contemplate it. I guess because of the beautiful reflections.
Campo Grande Park (Valladolid).
But if we go back to the centre of the iberian peninsula and specifically to the city of Valladolid, a very good place to go for a walk and find different birds is the Campo Grande park.
In its pond it is easy to see some ducks swimming.
And sometimes, during the mating season, we can see some ducks mating.
And as a result we will have new ducklings to photograph in a few months.
Best regards.
Ducks always reminds me about my childwood days on a small little town Warden in the Eastern Free State
