Landscapes of my beloved Asturias ascending the mountain pass Lagos de Covandoga by electric bicycle

Hi friends,

Today I share with all of you some pictures taken during a day of fellowship promoted by the company to which I belong, in which we climbed up to the legendary port of Lagos de Covadonga, in Asturias, which is one of those queen stages in the Tour of Spain.

Unlike the stages of the Vuelta a España, we focused only on climbing this pass, but we did it by alternative routes to the national road that climbs to the top of the pass. Because several of us were in poor shape at the time, we did the climb on electric mountain bikes, except for Ruben who used his mountain bike that he trained with almost every day. For those who have never used one, climbing a mountain pass with 1100 meters of altitude and a route of 35 kilometers with ramps in some sections of 16% is also necessary to give good pedals to climb.

Despite the fatigue of the climb, the day was very good, especially for the spectacular views that we could enjoy throughout the route, since being a sunny day with few clouds in the pause we made I could take pictures with my smartphone of the different mountains and valleys that make up the Picos de Europa mountain range.

The final climax was to reach a magical place where the Enol Lake is located, one of the three lakes that are in the highest area of the ascent and to photograph this wonderful lake with the green mountains in the background.

Undoubtedly, an experience that I want to repeat soon with my colleagues.

Best regards to all.

Muy buen lugar, está súper genial…

Gracias por el comentario.

Lo Picos de Europa son un lugar muy recomendable para hacer rutas de ciclismo. Poco trafico y mucha naturaleza

heavenly place

Yes.

In fact the slogan of the region is: Asturias Natural Paradise.
