Levantarme por la mañana y que una de las primeras cosas que vean mis ojos sea esta Cartacuba hermosa, y hacerle fotos sin espantarla me hace muy feliz.
Esta ave es autóctona de Cuba y, al igual que el Tocororo, no puede vivir en cautiverio. No son muy comunes de ver en la ciudad, ya que su habitad son las áreas boscosas, pero como vivo en un pueblo rodeado de árboles, tengo la dicha de verlas de vez en cuando por aquí, sobre todo en estos meses que es cuando se reproducen.
Me encantan sus colores, su pequeño tamaño y como se quedó tan tranquila cerca de mí. Debo admitir que pude haberle hecho mejores fotos, pero literalmente salí corriendo a buscar la cámara, encenderla y terminar de despertar antes de que se fuera.

Getting up in the morning and one of the first things my eyes see is this beautiful Cartacuba, and taking pictures of it without scaring it away makes me very happy.
This bird is native to Cuba and, like the Tocororo, cannot live in captivity. They are not very common to see in the city, since their habitat is the wooded areas, but as I live in a town surrounded by trees, I have the joy of seeing them from time to time around here, especially in these months when they reproduce.
I love her colors, her small size and how she stayed so quiet near me. I must admit that I could have taken better pictures of her, but I literally ran out to get the camera, turn it on and finish waking up before she left.

Las cartacubas son muy amigables. Lo sé porque cuando estuve en el Escambray vi muchas y cerquita de mñi. Me encantan las pelusitas coloridas que tienen. Yo por las mañanas muchas veces tengo una acompañándome, cuando elijo una jarra para el café. 🤣 Fue un regalo de un amigo fotógrafo, una foto de él.
Que afortunada eres ✨️ To quisiera tener una foto o una pintura de una, para verla a diario, me transmiten mucha ternura y serenidad, es verdad que son muy tranquilas ♥️ Y sus ojitos muy especiales, parecen humanos.
