A Har Over The Hills

Greetings Photography Lovers.

This morning when I woke around 8am I looked out of my attic bedroom window to see a har rolling over the fields and hills in the distance behind my house.

A har is what we call this mist which is most prevalent at this time of year when the hot morning sun vaporizes the water in the damp ground causing this beautiful morning mist to rise.

These shots were taken from the 3rd floor of my house looking over the rooftops towards the village of Marcinch.

As the mist begins to fade I got some clearer shots of St Drostans church. The tower of this church dates all the way back to the late 12th century,it has stood towering over this landscape for more than 800 years.

Over the rooftops, we can also make out the roof of The Haig Distillery Building which was built in the early 1930s but has been abandoned since the 1980s.I really should make a point of photographing this historic listed building sometime soon.

I also managed to get a few nice shots of the birds, chimney stacks, and tv ariels.

Some really good scenes here man,
Can see you’ve been practising with the camera a lot.

You said the distillery is abandoned?? Think we could do a documentary/blog about that if we can get inside??

Im not sure, I would think it will have CCTV cameras ,its a listed building but we can get close enough to photograph it I think.I've never been close to it before. Marnich has a few spots you could make a post about, there's the church, balbirnie park, stobcross road and few other places.

We have to go…

It’s all about the journey, the destination just tops it! ;)
