Hey Folks
I recently picked up a new camera which is a Fujifilm finepix HS20 EXR.I found it in a second hand store for £60 which I guess is around $80.
I wanted to test drive it this weekend to see what the image quality is like so I went to a local church that has a lot of history and some unique architecture.
In Scotland these old church's are referred to as Kirks, I guess its just an old scots word for church.
These are the shots I took,Im pretty happy with how they have turned out.
The street this shot is taken on is called Kirk Wynd. The staircase you see is one of the 3 enterance to the churchyard.
Most of the architecture here dates back to the 17th century with some wonderful examples of turrets and those pointy rooftops that look like wizards hats...
This old house even has a gargoyle statue on its wall...
The seal on the opposite house looks like it may have some masonic connections..
When we reach the top of the staircase we can see the clock tower. I tried to get some shots with the bluebell flowers in the foreground.
As we approach the tower and look to the left we see more masonic seals on the back of the old 17th centaury house.
Here is the clocktower and main entrance in all its glory..
These shots are taken from the other entrance which is lined with trees..
This shot is from the opposite side of the church...
The churchyard has a map of some of the interesting graves in the cemetery.
Here are some of the more ornate gravestones in the cemetery.
I love the spooky look of this weeping willow near these gravestones...
That's pretty much all I have to show you guys from this little old church :).
