Hey Folks
Last week I took a short trip up to one of my favourite Scottish towns.
Pitlochry is situated in the county of Perthshire and is surrounded by some stunning Scottish mountain scenery.
These are some of the best shots I managed to snap while wandering around the town.
This first shot shows a War Memorial to honour the soldiers from Pitlochry who died in the first and second World Wars.
We stayed in a lovely little bed and breakfast called the Buttonboss lodge.I will show more pictures and video of the lodge when I write up my full travel post later this week.
A couple shots of a old bridge taken while out wandering the surrounding countryside.
This shot shows Pitlochry Dam in the distance ,on the left hand side you can see The Festival Theatre, which is affectionately known as Scotland's "Theatre in The Hills".
This is a suspension bridge crossing the river Tummel.
A closer shot of the Dam and a dog walker by the River Tummel with Highland Scenery in the Background.
At the end of the suspension bridge we find a gate leading to some riverside/woodland walks.
Signposts to local tourist spots.
These pictures show the entrance to the Fort La Craig riverside café and restaurant nicely decorated for the Autumn season.
The Front of the Festival Theatre which currently celebrating its 70th season.
The Festival Theatre Gazebo and kids play area.
These banners list all the shows that have played at the Theatre over the last 70 years.
Next to the festival theatre there is an exhibition called The Explorers garden which sadly is currently closed due to covid restrictions.
I did however manage to snap some pretty Autumnal shots in this area.
Lets end this post out with some shots of the dam and surrounding Highland scenery.
Autumn is just around the corner! Lovely photos.
I need to get out for some more Autumn photography. It's been cold and rainy here almost every day. Hoping to get out towards the middle of the week. Great snaps!
WoW!
I can feel the peace of this place. The touch of autumn is awesome.
